Tribute to Suso Machín
Author: Silverio López. Bronze, 2002.
Sitting next to the pigeons, in the square where so often took his paintings, represents the popular painter who repeatedly portrayed the Puerto de Cabras of the 1930s and compulsive writer who wrote down experiences and memories of that time. His silent companions are the church of 1824, the Cabildo, the Insular Direction of the State or the old Hotel Fuerteventura, Unamuno’s abode in his exile in 1924 on the island.
