Churches, chapels, manor houses and mills tell the story of a society deeply tied to the land and water.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"4269\" data-end=\"4295\">Santa Ana Church<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"4296\" data-end=\"4492\">Located in Casillas del \u00c1ngel, this 18th century church is one of the most singular temples of the island, standing out for its black stone fa\u00e7ade and its value as the backbone of the village.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"4499\" data-end=\"4524\">Rugama&#8217;s House<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"4525\" data-end=\"4765\">Former rural hacienda belonging to one of the aristocratic families of the area, now converted into an agro-hotel and gastronomic space. Its structure reflects the traditional use of water by means of cisterns, gavias and strainers.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"4772\" data-end=\"4805\">Hermitage and Cross of San Andr\u00e9s<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"4806\" data-end=\"4983\">In Tetir, the hermitage of San Andr\u00e9s and the cross associated with the ancient tradition of prayers for rain are one of the most vivid examples of the intangible heritage of the island.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4985\" data-end=\"5116\">Every November 30, the people revive ancient rituals to ask for rain from the fields, keeping alive an ancestral tradition.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"5123\" data-end=\"5163\">Church of Santo Domingo de Guzm\u00e1n<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"5164\" data-end=\"5420\">With its characteristic tower visible from afar, this church is one of the most important temples in the interior of Fuerteventura.
